Today I bring you my May TBR which is on the slim side. I have a stressful month ahead of me at work. Including three weeks of lone work and working 40 hours a week. So I’m not anticipating getting a lot of reading in.
Don’t let that small stack deceive you though as I have an overwhelming level of E-ARCs to read this month.
So the list breaks down as follows:
- My Name Is Not Alexa Pearce by Kerri McLoone
- Starworld by Audrey Coulthurst and Paula Garner
- Sanguine by Caroline Denman
- Sympath by Caroline Denman
- Shamar by Caroline Denman
- A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin
- The Crowns of Croswald by D.E. Night
- Scythe by Neal Shusterman
- Sorcerous Rivalry by Kayleigh Nicol
- How it Feels to Float by Helena Fox
- Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Phew I’m tired just looking at my May TBR list, but they all are there for a reason!
My Name Is Not Alexa Pearce by Kerri McLoone
My first E-Arc on this list sent to me by the author will be released on the 7th of May. I’m looking forward to reading this and will be first on my list.
Starworld by Audrey Coulthurst and Paula Garner
This E-ARC was graciously sent to me by Candlewick Press and I am really looking forward to reading it. I had hoped to get to it in April but doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. I was released 16th April 2019.
Sanguine, Sympath, and Shamar by Caroline Denman
I read Songlines, the first in the Sentinels of Eden series last month, and enjoyed it enough to continue on. I purchased Sanguine and Sympath myself for my kindle. The author was nice enough to send me an E-ARC of the forthcoming Shamar.
A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin
Okay so while I’m a third the way through it and it’s still April, it’s safe to assume I will still be reading this in May. This series alternates between being exciting and boring during various chapters. I put aside the audiobook for others and hoped to get back to it but have yet to do so.
The Crowns of Croswald by D.E. Night
This book was generously sent to me for review by the author and I look forward to reading it. I have to say I have seen the author’s name a few places but have yet to read any of her books. Now’s a time to change that!
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
This is a series that I only recently have discovered through booktube. It looks so interesting and is supposed to be dark like the Hunger Games. This is definitely one of my more anticipated reads this month.
Sorcerous Rivalry by Kayleigh Nicol
Kayleigh recently contacted me with the offer to read and review her first book. She has self published this novel and I have to say the synopsis has me intrigued. Especially since I know there is some M/M romance involved.
How it Feels to Float by Helena Fox
This is a book I have heard a lot about all over the internet and it sounds beautiful. I grabbed it recently on a whim during Whitcoulls YA sale.
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
This whole series and the follow up series is everywhere in the book community. It is so popular I find myself wondering how have I missed these? I feel like someone who might have some how never heard of Harry Potter.
So that’s everything on my May TBR, what about you? Do you put together a list to read each month or just read as you please throughout the month? Let me know in the comments below!
