I cannot believe it’s already the 17 of May 2019. First off I want to apologise for having hardly any posts up for the last week and a half. I was away from last Thursday till this Monday and thought I would get things done in advance. I did not. Then when I got back I had more to do than I anticipated and thus have found myself trying to catch up with the blog and work and feeling that particular exhaustion from a big trip. Anyway, it’s Friday and I’m back! As always check out Nomadic Worlds blog as this is her Blog Meme.
How to participate in the meme:
1. Credit the creator of this tag (Nomadic Worlds) and link back.
2. Answer the four questions to the best of your ability.
3. Most important of all, enjoy yourself!

I recently listened to the audiobook of City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab on a road trip. Every time I had to stop listening I just wanted to listen to it even more! It was addictive, interesting and fun. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and to find out more about Jake and his history.
Indicate which book/s you are looking forward to reading this weekend.
Lately, I have read a lot of fantasy, sci-fi, and magical realism. So, even though this isn’t on my TBR I think it’s what I’m going to read next. This Young Adult Thriller by Emily Barr was graciously sent to me by Penguin New Zealand.
Favorite quote of the week/day.
The truth slid over her skin, that if she loved him, sometimes it would mean doing nothing. It would mean being still. It would mean saying nothing, but standing close enough so he would know she was there, that she was staying. When The Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore
I literally just finished this book and it was beautiful and slow and full of whimsy. It was filled with that magic that children know exists already and adults pretend they remember. This quote about knowing a truth about someone you love but understanding you needed to wait until they were ready, was beautiful.
This was My first foray into Anna-Marie McLemore and it absolutely blew me away. I want to seek out everything she has written and read them all.
Five things you’re happy or grateful for this week.
- Road trips to fun events! I’m not big on flying so if I can bus somewhere I generally do, plus more reading time!
- Finally getting to read a few books I have been meaning to read for ages.
- Getting more house repairs done, soon we just will need to paint.
- A relaxing weekend of reading and writing blog posts.
- Having understanding readers who don’t mind my absence.
