Waiting for Wednesday: Call Down the Hawk

June 5, 2019

Okay, so I’ll admit I’m a late comer to the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. But I loved that series and have high hopes for Call Sown the Hawk, and more Ronan Lynch. I was looking up info about The Raven King the last book in the Raven Cycle which I just finished when I came across this book.

Call Down the Hawk front cover

The dreamers walk among us . . . and so do the dreamed. Those who dream cannot stop dreaming – they can only try to control it. Those who are dreamed cannot have their own lives – they will sleep forever if their dreamers die.

And then there are those who are drawn to the dreamers. To use them. To trap them. To kill them before their dreams destroy us all.

Ronan Lynch is a dreamer. He can pull both curiosities and catastrophes out of his dreams and into his compromised reality.

Jordan Hennessy is a thief. The closer she comes to the dream object she is after, the more inextricably she becomes tied to it.

Carmen Farooq-Lane is a hunter. Her brother was a dreamer . . . and a killer. She has seen what dreaming can do to a person. And she has seen the damage that dreamers can do. But that is nothing compared to the destruction that is about to be unleashed. . . .

Call Down the Hawk Synopsis

I mean look at that synopsis, doesn’t it just make you crave this book. Ronan Lynch is my second favourite Raven boy (right after Adam Parrish). So this side series looks so interesting and good! I cannot wait to read it. Have you read the Raven Cycle?

Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater will be released 5th November 2019. You can preorder your copy from Amazon, Book Depository, or wherever you like to purchase books.
