What a week! I feel like I say that every week, but really it has been a week. Finally, I feel like I’m getting back into the swing of things for this blog after two very off months. I am looking forward to the weekend with a nice hot bath, a good book and some relaxation. As always thank you to Lyn over at Nomadic Worlds for this meme.

I’m on an expedition to slowly buy my favourite classics that I don’t currently own and so, of course, my first was to buy my favourite Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. These Penguin clothbound classics editions are just utterly STUNNING. Not sure which one I will buy next but I feel like I need them all!

So… I remembered I have a Kindle and I have books on that which I need to read. Luckily I have finally finished Starworld which I started like way back in May and then promptly put down.
This weekend I really want to get to As Sweet As Honey. This book sounds cute and fun and sweet. I think after two disappointing queer books in a row I just want to get lost in hetero New Zealand. I was excited to get an ARC of this.
Favorite quote of the week/day.
HELLO TO EVERYONE….except my book which did not write itself last night despite me leaving very clear instructions for it to do so.C.G. Drews on Twitter.
If you don’t follow Paperfury (AKA C.G. Drews) you are missing out on some high-quality sassy banter! This comment though is exactly how I feel today opening up Scrivener and my writing didn’t get done while I sleep.
Five things you’re happy or grateful for this week.
- Having Fridays off and long weekends.
- Finishing a book that makes you weep with how disappointing it is, and now you never have to read it again.
- Scribd which is amazing and like how I get 90% of my audiobooks now.
- Free Paint tin full of M&M’s cause we bought paint for our house.
- Netflix being pretty amazing and always having something to watch.
Thanks again for taking part in today’s post. What are your plans for the weekend? Let me know below in the comments.
