A Madness Of Sunshine Book Cover
A Madness Of Sunshine Adult Thriller Hachette NZ Paperback 400

On the rugged West Coast of New Zealand, Golden Cove is more than just a town where people live. The adults are more than neighbors; the children, more than schoolmates.

That is until one fateful summer—and several vanished bodies—shatters the trust holding Golden Cove together. All that’s left are whispers behind closed doors, broken friendships, and a silent agreement not to look back. But they can’t run from the past forever.

Eight years later, a beautiful young woman disappears without a trace, and the residents of Golden Cove wonder if their home shelters something far more dangerous than an unforgiving landscape.

It’s not long before the dark past collides with the haunting present and deadly secrets come to light.

No drag marks, no blood, no clumps torn out in a desperate attempt to grab hold of safety.

What a perfect line to put you right into the mood of a thriller. I am so excited about this book as I have been waiting since it’s announcement to read it. I was so excited I accidentally pre-ordered TWO copies. I am so looking forward to a murder mystery/thriller set in New Zealand!

Seventy-Seven Saturday is a weekly blog meme hosted by the Aussie YA Bloggers where every Saturday we share a snippet of a book from page 77.

This is one of those times when this section was a lot less interesting than it seems it will be according to this passage, but still the book was overall interesting.

It was definitely a good read, and unique in it’s being absolutely kiwi in voice and style while published by an international publisher and released worldwide! We need more books like this. Anyway, my review is now on my blog!

    aaaah this sounds super creepy!
It hasn’t occured to me before how few NZ set books I read – I must fix that!

This was definitely a kiwi book, and I love that it had an international release, as I feel like usually NZ books like this only get local releases, I’m sure it’s similar for Aussie books too. My review is now up if you want to check it out!
