I hadn’t heard much about this book until recently when I received it in my OwlCrate and had a read about it. OMG, I’m looking so forward to this, I have craved some non-euro centric fantasy. I like that this is written by someone who resides in the middle east too. I lived for about a year in the middle east and love it as an area, and cannot wait to read this. Also, Hafsah Faizal seems lovely on twitter.
Indicate which book/s you are looking forward to reading this weekend.
I’ve received Hive as part of a blog tour I’m taking part in for the sequel rogue, and honestly it looks really interesting and I can’t wait to read it. I love novels where something innocuous like a drip changes the whole world view. Hive has real “The City Of Ember” vibes to it, and that is a favourite book of mine.
I am a huge Fan of the TV show “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and was always fascinated by the book she writes in it. So when I saw that they actually wrote is and published it I was both nervous and excited, so I ordered it. Once I got it and read the author bio and acknowledgments which are all done in character it’s just turned to excitement!
Favorite quote of the week/day.
There’s nothing more powerful in the world than a good story.
Tyrion Lannister – Game of Thrones Finale
So Game of Thrones is over… and that’s a thing. Don’t worry no spoilers from me. But I really loved this line by our favourite wise charming lion.
Five things you’re happy or grateful for this week.
- I was working sole charge at work and I think I rocked it!
- Still loving the Raven Cycle, on book 3 now.
- My copy of ‘I Wish You All The Best‘ has shipped!
- Delicious Russian fudge turning my day around on Wednesday
- Hot baths planned for the weekend!
